Ah, the summer blockbuster, that rumbling, bumbling, doomsday megapic which promises to fill a rainy day with loud and flashing abandon. This promise is, of course, conveyed by the marketing machines behind production companies who, since the beginning of the last century, have dedicated themselves to perfecting an age old craft: the movie poster.
Like Toulouse-Lautrec and his Moulin Rouge kicking girls that had all of Paris running uptown, so movie posters can make or break a film’s box office potential.
